About Me
I grew up in Washington state, the youngest of four children, and the only girl. I was a ferocious tomboy, trained by my brothers to keep up in all sports and outdoor activities. My best friends were the plethora of pets that defined my childhood, including a pony, which sparked a life long passion for riding.

I graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Anthropology. My first job out of college was with Vogue magazine as an editorial assistant, very Devil Wears Prada. Then I married young and moved to London, where my three children were born.

After eight years in the UK, my then husband and I returned to the Northwest to raise our family, around mountains and water and big trees. After twelve years in Seattle we moved again, this time to Connecticut, where I still reside.

My work has appeared online at Huffpost, Midstory Magazine, US Equestrian, Chronicle of the Horse, Grown and Flown, The Plaid Horse, Mothers Always Write, Horse Network, and in several anthologies. I am currently working on a novel.
